Neon air hockey under the night lights. Your mallet follows your finger, your flicks do the shooting, and five rivals are waiting up the ladder. First to 7 takes the match.
YOU 0Wally0🏆 Ladder 0/5
How to play
Drag to move: touch the table and your mallet follows your finger. Flick to shoot — the mallet's real speed becomes the puck's speed, so a hard flick is a hard shot. Desktop: mouse drag, or arrow keys / WASD.
Your half only: your mallet can't cross the centre line — that's the real air hockey rule. The puck, of course, goes wherever it wants.
First to 7 wins the match. After a goal, the player who was scored on gets the serve.
The ladder: beat a rival to unlock the next. Wally defends, Priya blasts, Old Tom banks, Blaze is chaos, and Vera is the final exam.
No stalls: a puck that dies in the middle gets a gentle nudge back into play, and a rally with no shot on goal for 20 seconds gets one too.
Lift your finger and your mallet simply stops where it is — the puck doesn't stop with it. Touch the table again to take over.

About Air Hockey Nights
Air Hockey Nights is arcade air hockey the way the table in the corner of the arcade played it: a puck that barely slows down, a mallet that is exactly as fast as your hand, and goals that feel earned. There is no aim assist and no scripted rubber-banding — the puck obeys physics, and so do your rivals. Every flick you make is measured from your mallet's real motion, so the slapshot you meant is the slapshot you get.
The ladder is five people, not five difficulty sliders. Wally “The Wall” defends and waits. Priya “The Slapshot” hits harder than anyone and aims worse than everyone. Old Tom “The Banker” plays the rails like he owns them. Blaze “Wildfire” is speed without a plan. And Vera “The Champion” is the complete player — beat her and the night is yours. Matches are first to 7, no periods, no clock: a sprint.
The rules, honestly
First to 7 goals wins the match. After a goal, the player who was scored on gets the serve.
Your mallet may not cross the centre line — the real rule, enforced by the table itself.
A puck that dies in open ice, or a rally that goes 20 seconds without a shot on goal, earns a gentle nudge back into play. Nobody wins on a stall.
Quick tips
Defend from just in front of your goal, not on the line — you need room to react sideways.
A short, sharp flick beats a long swing: mallet speed at contact is all that counts.
Against Priya, stay centred — her power is real but her aim wanders. Against Old Tom, watch the rails, not the puck.
Frequently asked questions
Is Air Hockey Nights free?

How do I control the mallet?
Drag on the table with a finger or mouse — the mallet follows, and its speed becomes the puck's speed when they meet. Arrow keys and WASD work too.
How long is a match?
First to 7 goals, no clock. Most matches run two to four minutes.
Who is the hardest rival?
Vera, the Champion — the fifth and final rung. Beating Wally unlocks Priya, and so on up the ladder.
