⚾ Home Run Hero
Evening ball at the little park. Read the spin, time your swing, and clear the 385 fence — every home run is a run. A game is 9 outs (3 innings × 3 outs). Beat a pitcher's run target to unlock the next arm.
How to play
- ⚾ SWING (big red button, or Space, or tap the field) the moment the ball crosses the plate. Timing is everything: within ±45 ms of the ball crossing = PERFECT contact, ±100 ms = solid, ±175 ms = weak or foul. Later or earlier than that is a swing and a miss.
- 👀 Read the pitch by its spin and bend: the fastball comes straight and quick with a tight fast spin; the curveball spins slow and loopy and bends down late; the slider spins tight like a bullet and darts down at the last moment; the changeup tumbles slowly and arrives later than it looks. The call after each pitch names what it was.
- 🎯 Take your pitches: balls outside the zone are free — four balls is a walk, no out. Three strikes and you're out. Two-strike fouls don't count. Swinging at a pitch outside the zone shrinks your timing window — it's much harder to square up.
- 🏟️ Scoring, plain and simple: there are no base runners in Home Run Hero. A home run over the 385 fence = 1 run. Other hits are just hits — nice for the average, no runs. A game is 9 outs. Score at least the target on a pitcher's card in a finished game to unlock the next pitcher.
- 🥎 Batting practice is unlimited pitches with no outs — pick any pitcher below and learn his stuff.

Frequently asked questions
Is Home Run Hero free?
Yes — free baseball game in your browser, no download or signup.
How does scoring work?
Simple arcade rules: no base runners, so every home run is exactly 1 run. A game lasts 9 outs (3 innings of 3 outs). Each pitcher has a run target — reach it in a finished game to unlock the next pitcher.
How do I hit a home run?
Swing within ±45 milliseconds of the ball crossing the plate for perfect contact, and lay off pitches outside the zone — chasing shrinks your timing window. Perfect contact leaves the bat at 95–107 mph and flies 300–450 feet: plenty clear the 385 fence, and the wall catches the rest.
Can I play on my phone?
Yes, the SWING button is big and thumb-safe, and touch controls work on mobile devices.
