Word Duel
Fast anagram duels against named rivals. You both get the same rack of 7 letters — build the longest word you can before the clock runs out. Length is everything: a 7-letter word is worth 49, plus a bonus for using the whole rack.

How to play
- Pick a rival below — the match starts the moment you tap. Beat a rival to unlock the next one: Penny Parkes first, then Marcus Vale, then The Lexicon.
- Best of 5 rounds, 45 seconds a round. Every round deals the same rack of 7 letters to you and your rival. Every rack is guaranteed to hide at least one word of 5+ letters.
- Tap letters to build your word in the tray (tap a tray letter to send it back). Words must be 3–7 letters and in the game's built-in dictionary of 6,141 common English words — if it isn't in the dictionary, it doesn't count. Your score preview updates as you build.
- Scoring is word length squared: 3 letters = 9, 4 = 16, 5 = 25, 6 = 36, 7 = 49 — plus a +25 bonus for using all 7 letters (74 total). Hit LOCK IN when you're happy; if the clock runs out, a valid word on the tray locks in automatically.
- It's a fair fight: your rival plays the very same rack, chooses from the very same dictionary, and is scored by the very same rule. Rivals differ only in how much of the dictionary they know and how often they spot the best word.
- Win more rounds than your rival to take the match. Tied after 5 rounds? Sudden death — rounds keep coming until one is won outright.
