⚓ SENTINEL SHORES
A cozy tower defense on a harbor shore. Boats are coming down the winding channel toward your town — place your towers on the shore plots, hold all ten waves, and be kind to the Whale.
How to play
- The channel is the road. Every boat sails the winding waterway to your harbor town at the bottom. If a boat gets through, it costs harbor hearts — little boats 1, zeppelins 2, freighters 3. Lose all 20 hearts and the harbor falls.
- Build on the shore plots. Pick a tower below, then tap a wooden plot by the channel — you'll see its range ring before you commit. Tap the plot again (or BUILD) to place it. Tap any tower later to upgrade it (2 upgrade levels) or sell it back at 70% of everything you spent on it.
- 🏹 Arrow Turret (50g) — cheap and steady, hits everything including flyers. 💣 Cannon (100g) — slow, heavy splash damage, but its shells cannot reach flying zeppelins. 🧊 Frost Buoy (70g) — barely tickles, but chills boats to a crawl. ⚡ Tesla Coil (150g) — pricey lightning that chains to 3 boats at once and loves a crowd.
- Know the boats: dinghies are slow and soft; speedboats are fast and soft; freighters are armored — every hit they take is reduced by 3 (never below 1), so many small hits waste away on their hull — bring cannons and teslas. Zeppelins fly: only Arrow, Frost and Tesla can touch them.
- 🐋 The Whale rule. At the end of some waves a jolly Whale swims the channel just for the joy of it. Your towers will never shoot him on their own. Let him pass untouched and the town pays you a +30g kindness bonus and gains respect. If you tap the Whale you order your towers to fire on him — sink him and it's a −50g fine and −2 respect; even wounding him costs the town's trust. This harbor protects its whale.
- Between waves you build. Press CALL WAVE when you're ready. Once every boat of a wave has launched, you can call the next wave early for bonus gold — bravery pays. ⏩ FAST runs the harbor at double speed.
- Counts never hide: gold, hearts, the wave you're on, and how many boats are still out there are always at the top.
About Sentinel Shores
Sentinel Shores is a cozy tower defense on a harbor shore. Dinghies, speedboats, armored freighters and drifting zeppelins sail a winding channel toward a small town that would very much like to keep its twenty hearts. You answer with arrow turrets on the headlands, cannons with real splash, frost buoys that turn the channel to syrup, and a tesla coil that shares its lightning around. Between the fighting there is a lighthouse sweeping its beam, a town lighting its windows — and a whale, who is not an enemy, has never been an enemy, and keeps the whole harbor honest.
Is Sentinel Shores free?
Yes — free in your browser, no download, no signup.
How do I stop the freighters?
Freighters shrug off 3 damage from every hit, so arrow fire mostly polishes them. Cannons (22 a shell, before armor) and tesla chains are the honest answer — and a frost buoy slowing one inside cannon range is worth two towers.
Why won't my cannon shoot the zeppelins?
Cannon shells fly flat and slow; zeppelins drift above them. Arrow turrets, frost buoys and tesla coils all reach the sky.
What happens if I shoot the Whale?
Only if you tap him and give the order — your towers never fire on their own. Let him pass and the town pays +30 gold and gains respect. Wound him and respect falls; sink him and it's a 50 gold fine and −2 respect. The harbor remembers.
Can I really beat all ten waves?
Yes — the Cove is tuned so a steady build order (an arrow on the high plots, a frost in the middle, cannons and a tesla as the gold comes in) holds all ten waves with hearts to spare. Wave 1 falls to the starting gold alone.
