FLOOD FRENZY
PRESS START
Flood from the top-left. Every color you pick absorbs the neighbors it touches. Clear the board inside the move limit.
DIFFICULTY
How to play
Flood: tap a palette color (or press 1–6). Your region — everything connected to the top-left corner — turns that color and absorbs every adjacent cell of the same color.
Clear the whole board to one color before your moves run out. Picking your region's current color does nothing and costs nothing.
Boards rotate through four generators every round: Random scatter, Rings, Islands and Stripes — each one floods differently, so last round's plan won't save you.
From round 3 the move limit tightens by 1 each round (down to 70% of the tier's base). Score = 100 per round cleared + 10 per leftover move.
Tiers: Puddle 10×10 with 5 colors and 14 moves, Pool 12×12 with 6 colors and 20 moves, Deluge 14×14 with 6 colors and 23 moves. The limits are tuned tight — a sloppy line loses, even for good players.
Think two floods ahead: the best color is usually the one that sets up the biggest absorption next turn, not this one.
About Flood Frenzy
Flood Frenzy is a color-flood puzzle about thinking in waves. Every move recolors everything you've captured so far, which means every move also changes what you can capture next — the board is never just a picture, it's a chain reaction waiting for the right first link. Greedy play wins the easy boards and drowns on the hard ones.
The four rotating board generators keep the puzzle honest. Rings reward patience as each band peels away; Islands reward hunting the color that bridges two blobs at once; Stripes punish anyone who floods in the wrong order. And from round three the move limit tightens a little every round, so a strategy that barely survived round two will not survive round five.
Quick tips
Look at the colors touching your region's frontier — the best move usually grows the frontier, not just the region.
Count moves backwards from the far corner: if a color island is three floods away, start setting it up now.
Never spend a move on a color that absorbs nothing new, even late — a wasted move is how Deluge boards are lost.
